Terms and Conditions

  • Please let us know of any dietary requirements and food allergies of your group as the menu for your event will be based upon these. You will be notified of the agreed menu and timetable for the event via email and a confirmation from you will be requested. Thereafter all arrangements will be made on this basis, though we will of course endeavour to accommodate any changes that Cookery School considers practicable.
  • Please notify us of any change in the contact details provided to us as these will be used by Cookery School for all correspondence.
  • Should the event be cancelled by you, amounts paid prior to such cancellation shall be forfeited (other than in exceptional circumstances at Cookery School’s absolute discretion). If Cookery School is forced to delay due to an occurrence outside our control, we will be entitled to transfer the event to a mutually agreeable future date.
  • The final balance of the Event Fee shall be paid no later than one week before the event. Interest will be due on late payments at the base lending rate of National Westminster Bank from time to time plus 2%, accruing on a daily basis from the date payment is due until the date of actual payment.
  • Once a date and time slot has been confirmed for an event (the “Event Slot”), a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the agreed Event Fee shall become immediately due and payable. Cookery School will send you a PDF invoice by email; please let us know in advance if a hard copy by post is required. Upon receipt of payment the Event Slot will become reserved. This means that Cookery School will not accept any other booking requests for the Event Slot.
  • In the event that the number of participants is going to be more than originally expected, please let us know as soon as possible. Generally though we can accommodate small additional numbers at short notice. The Event Fee will be adjusted accordingly and any additional amounts due settled by you at the earliest opportunity.
  • In the event that the number of participants is going to be less than originally expected, the Event Fee will be adjusted accordingly provided you notify us at least two weeks before the event (subject always to the minimum of 10 participants set out above). No reduction will be made if less than two weeks’ notice is given, as by then food will have been ordered and staff booked.
  • The fee for your event at Cookery School (the “Event Fee”) will be based on the number of participants expected to attend. For the purposes of calculating the Event Fee, the minimum number of participants shall be 10. In other words, groups of less than 10 participants are welcome but will be charged on the basis of 10 participants.
  • Cookery School’s liability for any breach of our agreement, including these terms and conditions, will be limited to amounts paid hereunder in respect of a given event, and Cookery School shall in no circumstances be liable for any consequential or indirect loss or damage.
  • Lockers with keys are available on our premises and should be used during the event. Cookery School accepts no liability for loss of or damage to any personal belongings on our Premises.
  • If the a session runs beyond the agreed end time due to late arrival of participants or at your request during the event, an additional charge shall apply based on the number of participants.
  • Alcohol will be provided during the event to accompany and complement the food. We strongly recommend that participants do not exceed the legal drink driving limit as kitchen equipment can be hazardous. However, we are unable to monitor and regulate individual consumption during the event; therefore consumption of alcohol beyond such limit is entirely at the risk of the participants concerned. You will be responsible for any damage to Cookery School’s premises caused by unruly participants.
  • All copyright and other intellectual property rights in the materials provided and information imparted in relation to the event belong to Cookery School and may not be shared or copied. Such materials and information are proprietary to Cookery School and should be treated as confidential and not disclosed to any third party (except if they are already in the public domain).
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
