Menu Options

Menus can be tailored to fit with dietary requirements, likes and dislikes or we can specially design a menu for you.

Incorporated into each session is a range of challenging techniques, so that everyone takes away with them a sense of achievement and the ability to replicate the dishes at home again. If you would like to add a competitive element to your event ask us about a special Christmas bake off style event.

Items in brackets are for the Gold package only.

 

Italian Christmas menu

  • Tortellini in brodo
  • Herby roast lamb, cavolo nero, chestnuts and braised lentils
  • Marsala ice cream
  • (Homemade panforte or chocolate biscotti)

British Christmas menu

  • Pumpkin and chestnut soup with rustic rolls
  • Roast herbed, crispy chicken with traditional stuffing, roast potatoes, gravy, cranberry and bread sauce and seasonal vegetables
  • Upside down pear and port cake
  • (Coffee/teas with homemade mince pies)

Festive menu

  • Small twice baked stilton soufflés with a chicory and pear salad served with a glass of port
  • Roast guinea fowl with herbed basmati and wild rice served with a mulled wine cabbage and seasonal vegetables
  • Homemade ice cream with brandy marinated fruit
  • (Coffee/teas with homemade mini shortbread biscuits)

Vegetarian Christmas menu

  • Baked butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed rolls
  • Mushroom risotto with a salad of winter leaves
  • Baked pears with a chestnut cream and hot chocolate sauce
  • (Coffee/teas with homemade mince pies)

Wine tasting add on

Our wine expert joins your session to do the wine tasting.  We will tailor the tasting to your team so if there is a specific area of wine you want to know about, please do let us know.  For a general introduction to wine, we usually select several wines to taste, some of which will be used to taste against the menu you have chosen.

Adds an extra 1.5 hours to your event, cost is an additional £60 +VAT per person.

Chocolate add on

The group all taste and compare a variety of high quality chocolate, learn how to temper chocolate, make chocolate discs, white truffles, milk truffles and dark truffles – all using wonderful Valrhona chocolate. The session is great fun and everyone gets to take home their own box of Cookery School chocolates.
